He wrote small bits of instruction for the Disney Animation Studios newsletter during the "Waking Sleeping Beauty" period (Little Mermaid through Aladdin, Eisner era, but they looked good.)

Drawn to Life is a (massive, two volume) collection of those tutorials published, I believe, shortly after Stanchfield died. They're especially great for animation, but I can imagine them working for comics too.

Also, Dreamworks Face: http://www.eatliver.com/i.php?n=4175Tylernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36501346.post-65085875368796481202011-01-24T16:04:50.097-05:002011-01-24T16:04:50.097-05:00good one!

It's a very nice book for introducing someone into the progress of making comics. Covers lots of topics and beginner questions.jannickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08840858189573863722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36501346.post-90364474885812558782011-01-24T05:39:03.907-05:002011-01-24T05:39:03.907-05:00I'd also recommend Walt Stansfield's drawn...I'd also recommend Walt Stansfield's drawn to life books, aimed at animators but about producing good, readable drawings and very relevant. Also if your drawing's a bit wobbly carry a small sketch pad with you and draw at every oppotunity. Finally be aware you've probably got 10,000 crap drawings in you before you start producing stuff you'll feel any pride in.Faffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04446264944001513202noreply@blogger.com
